1. Check-in and Identification
Check-in time is from 2:00 p.m.; Check-out time is by 12:00 noon.
All guests must present valid identification at check-in, as required by Nepalese regulations.
Visitors must register at Reception and meet guests only in designated public areas.
The hotel may refuse accommodation where identification or payment requirements are not fulfilled.
2. Early Arrival and Late Departure
Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability.
Early check-in before the designated complimentary period may attract a charge.
Until 2:00 p.m.: complimentary, subject to availability.
2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.: half-day room charge.
After 8:00 p.m.: full-night room charge. Please confirm availability with Reception.
3. Guestroom Occupancy
Rooms may only be occupied by the number of guests registered at check-in.
Additional guests must be registered with Reception.
The hotel may charge for additional occupants, extra beds or applicable services.
Guests may not transfer or sublet their rooms to another person.
4. Noise and Consideration
Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Loud music, parties, shouting and disruptive behaviour are not permitted.
Banquet and event music must stop by 10:00 p.m.
Guests causing repeated disturbance may be asked to leave without refund.
5. Smoking and Fire Safety
Smoking is prohibited inside guestrooms, corridors and other non-smoking areas.
Guests may smoke only in designated smoking areas.
Candles, incense, cooking equipment, heaters and other open-flame devices are not permitted in guestrooms.
Tampering with smoke detectors, sprinklers or fire equipment is strictly prohibited.
Guests must follow all emergency instructions and evacuation procedures.
Storing of cinema films, raw or exposed, or any other articles of a combustible or hazardous nature in residential rooms or store rooms is strictly prohibited.
6. Safety and Security
Keep your room door locked when inside or away from the room.
Do not leave valuables unattended. The hotel recommends using the in-room safe.
Lost or found items should be reported to Reception immediately.
The hotel is not responsible for valuables left unsecured.
CCTV operates in selected public areas for safety and security.
7. Visitors and Access
Visitors are permitted only during approved visiting hours and must register at Reception.
Visitors may not stay overnight without registration.
The hotel may restrict access to guestrooms for security, safety, maintenance or housekeeping requirements.
Photography or filming of other guests, staff or private hotel areas requires prior permission.
8. Children and Vulnerable Guests
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Children must not use the swimming pool, gym or other facilities without appropriate supervision.
Parents and guardians are responsible for the safety and conduct of children under their care.
9. Swimming Pool
Pool hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Follow pool safety instructions and posted hygiene requirements.
Shower before entering the pool.
Glassware, food and unsafe objects are not permitted in the pool area.
Running, diving and disruptive behaviour are prohibited.
The hotel may close the pool temporarily for maintenance, weather or safety reasons.
10. Gym and Hotel Facilities
Gym hours are from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Guests use the gym and other facilities at their own risk.
Appropriate clothing and footwear are required.
Equipment must be used responsibly and returned after use.
Report damaged or unsafe equipment to the hotel immediately.
11. Food, Beverages and Outside Services
Outside food and beverages may be subject to hotel approval and applicable service or corkage charges.
Alcohol may only be consumed in accordance with Nepalese law and hotel policy.
Illegal drugs, weapons and hazardous materials are strictly prohibited.
Food delivery, massage, entertainment or other outside services require prior approval from Management.
12. Damage and Loss
Guests are responsible for damage, loss or removal of hotel property caused by themselves or their visitors.
Costs may be charged to the guest's account.
Furniture, linen, towels, artwork, equipment and other hotel property must not be removed.
Staining or damaging linen, towels, carpets or furnishings may incur cleaning or replacement charges.
13. Environmental Responsibility & Housekeeping Service
As part of our eco-friendly initiatives, standard room cleaning and bed linen changes are performed every alternate day unless requested otherwise.
Guests who require daily cleaning, fresh linens, or additional housekeeping services may request them on demand by contacting Housekeeping or Reception at any time.
Housekeeping will always replace linens sooner if they are visibly soiled or require cleaning.
Guests are encouraged to reuse towels where practical to conserve water and energy.
Switch off lights, air-conditioning and electronic equipment when leaving the room.
14. Privacy and Room Entry
Housekeeping and Maintenance may enter rooms for cleaning, repairs, inspections or safety reasons.
The hotel will respect guest privacy wherever possible.
“Do Not Disturb” requests may be subject to welfare and security checks in accordance with hotel policy.
15. Payments and Additional Charges
All hotel charges must be settled before departure unless credit arrangements have been approved.
The hotel may request a deposit or pre-authorisation for incidental expenses.
Rates, taxes and cancellation conditions apply according to the confirmed booking.
Guests should review their bill and report any discrepancy before departure.
Personal cheques are not accepted.
16. Prohibited Conduct
Illegal activities; violence, threats, harassment or abusive behaviour; human trafficking or exploitation; weapons or illegal substances; unauthorised commercial activity; unauthorised events, parties or photography; damage to hotel property; and conduct that threatens the safety, comfort or privacy of others are not permitted.
17. Complaints and Assistance
Please contact Reception or the Duty Manager for assistance at any time. We welcome feedback and will make every reasonable effort to resolve concerns promptly.
18. Management Rights
Hotel Shanker reserves the right to:
Refuse service or accommodation where necessary for safety, security or legal reasons.
Remove guests or visitors who breach these rules.
Recover costs for damage, loss or extraordinary cleaning.
Amend these rules when required by law, safety standards or hotel policy.
